Story Behind the Song:
Formerly known as "Take My Love & Throw It Away", this song tells the story of how an ugly and utterly thoughtless remark made one night by a crazy blond I was seeing, squeezed the final breath of life out of the most "tortured romance" I've ever experienced!
And just to rub the wound raw, she said it over a bottle of champagne while we were celebrating our one year anniversary together.
How this stormy relationship ever made it to the one year mark in the first place is beyond me, but that remark sealed the coffin for good.
